OBA ALARA OF ARA-EKITI CELEBRATES 10THYEAR ON THE THRONE IN EKITI STATE

Arrangements
have been completed for the official presentation of the staff of office for
His Royal majesty, Oba Emmanuel Folorunsho Adedara, JP Okinna 11. Alara of Ara
Ekiti, Ijero Local Government Area of Ekiti state. According to the Royal
Family, the event will also mark the 10th year anniversary of Oba
Adedara on the throne. The 10th
year anniversary and coronation ceremonies will take place at CAC Ifesowopo
District, Headquarters of Ara Ekiti, Ijero Local Government Area. It will also be
week- long activities, starting with environmental sanitation by the Ara Ekiti
youths. The Iwuye ceremony and coming together of all the title chiefs of the
community will hold on the second day. The unique gathering will be used by the
Oba to feast and pray for the town as well as his subjects. Youth empowerment
and career talk will hold on the day three with the youths engaging themselves
in sporting activities on the fourth day.
The
fifth day, which is the grand finale will witness personalities from far and
near. His Royal Majesty, Oba Emmanuel Adedara will be presented his official
staff of office by the government and people of Ekiti State.
There
are various plans in place by the Oba-in-council to make the event memorable in
the annals of history of the Ara-Ekiti as there will be colour, glamour and entertainment
at the reception planned to hold at Ara Comprehensive High School Playground,
Awo Road, Ara Ekiti, Ijero Local Government.
The special
Guests of Honour include, His excellency, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, the governor of
Ekiti state while the Royal fathers of the day shall be His Royal Highness, Oba
Joseph Adewole, OFR (JP), The Owa Ajero of Ijero Kingdom, His Roya Highness Oba
Fatai Irawo Adisa, Oba of Odi Olowo Mushin, Lagos and His Royal Highness, Oba
Gbadebo Adedeji Owa Ooye Okemisi, the chairman, Ekiti State Council of Obas.
The
Mothers of the day include, Olori Adejugbe Bosede, the Yeye Sorun of Ado Ekiti.
The Chief Host is Honourable Abiodun Omoleye, Chairman Ijero Local Government.
His
Royal Majesty, Oba Emmanuel Folorunsho Adedara JP Okina 11. The Alara of Ara
Ekiti Ijero Local Government Area of Ekti state, Ijero Local Government Area of
Ekiti state was born in May 21st 1960 to the royal family of Adedara
Gabriel and Olori Alice Dada of Ara Ekiti.
He was
a student at the Emmanuel Anglican Primary School, Ado Ekiti and the Moba
Grammar School, Otun Ekiti in 1978 and Ilogbo High School where he obtained his
West African School Leaving Certificate.
Oba
Adedara academic Career was briefly truncated when he lost his father in 1983.
Oba
Adedara worked for sometime in other to source for money to finance his educational
pursuit.
Coming to
Lagos, Oba Adedara worked with Doyin investment company, Alaba Orile, Lagos and
after some years, he proceeded to Oyebanji College of Building Technology,
Coker village, Lagos where he obtained his Ordinary National Diploma in
Architectural Design in 1988.
Due to his thirst for knowledge, Oba Emmanuel
Adedara proceeded to courdeur school of Culture and Hotel Management where he
also obtained my Higher National Diploma in Hotel Management in 1992. Working
with Eko Le’meridien Hotel and suites as head of department, beverages department,
Oba Adedara has gained a lot of knowledge on how to relate with people in a
complex situation.
Oba Emmanuel
Folorunsho Adedara, JP has been on the throne as the Alara of Ara-Ekiti for ten
years.
